What is the Sculptra treatment aftercare advice?
After a Sculptra treatment, it’s crucial to follow specific aftercare instructions to optimize results and minimize potential side effects. Each treatment takes about 30-45 minutes. The number of injection appointments – and injections per appointment – vary from patient to patient: it depends on how much collagen has been lost. Your medical practitioner will give you all the advice you need.
Sculptra is injected in a pattern to evenly fill out the face in the problem area. The practitioner then massages the area for a few minutes to evenly distribute Sculptra in the skin and prevent any bumps forming.
It’s natural for some people to experience some redness or bruising in the areas where Sculptra has been injected, but this should fade fast and you can relieve any discomfort an icepack can be applied as needed. You can apply make-up several hours after your collagen injections.
